Since 1987 the Troy Foundation For Educational Excellence has provided resources to enrich innovative educational experiences for the K-12 students of our Troy School District. By linking community resources with Troy School District staff, we assist in preserving educational excellence within the District while enriching the opportunities for all students.

  • The Mission of the Troy Foundation For Educational Excellence (TFEE) is to strengthen the educational excellence of Troy School District (TSD) K-12 students by funding innovative learning opportunities, through private support. Since 1987 the Troy Foundation For Educational Excellence (TFEE) has provided grant funding for K-12 classroom teachers which enrich, enhance and engage Troy School District students within  their learning environment. By linking community resources with Troy School District staff, TFEE assists in preserving educational excellence within the District. Single and multi-classroom grants as well as        district-wide classroom grants are awarded annually. 
  • TFEE Board of Trustees consists of TSD parents, community volunteers, teachers, and student representatives as well as a School Board member, our Superintendent and our Executive Director. 
  • TFEE's major fundraising event is held each June when the Foundation hosts their annual golf outing. This golf outing was put ‘ on hold' in 2020 and 2021 due to COVID and will resume in June, 2022, at Sanctuary Lake in Troy. Multiple other fundraisers are held throughout the year. 
  • During the 2020-2021 school year the TFEE provided Technology Tools to each classroom teacher which enhanced the communication and learning between virtual and classroom settings. Currently TFEE is working with teaching staff to place Classroom Libraries in each Middle School English/Language Arts classroom. Recent projects included funding Makerspace in each of our elementary, middle school and high school buildings.
  • In addition to classroom grants TFEE also provides funding for the TSD Teacher of the Year program as well as scholarships for graduating Troy seniors. 
  • Donations from 100 Women will go into the overall Grant Fund.
